Smart Pricing

Instead of guessing a price and forgetting about it, the seller picks a strategy and menta keeps the price competitive on its own.

When listing a ticket, a seller can pick one of three pricing strategies instead of fixing a single price. From there, menta nudges the listing price up or down over time, following the real demand for that event and ticket category — so the seller doesn't have to keep watching the market.

Why it exists#

A resale market never sits still. Demand for an event rises and falls, other sellers come and go, and a price that looked fair on Monday can be off by the weekend. Asking a seller to keep checking and re-pricing by hand is a lot to expect — most won't, and a stale price means a ticket that doesn't sell.

Smart Pricing takes that chore off the seller's plate. They decide once how aggressive they want to be, and menta does the day-to-day adjusting.

02

How it works#

At the moment of listing, the seller chooses one of three pricing strategies rather than typing in a static price. Based on that choice, the listing price then moves automatically over time, tracking the demand of each event and ticket category. A more competitive price tends to sell faster — which is exactly what the seller is after.

Good to know#

i
Smart Pricing is entirely up to each seller: they can lean on a dynamic strategy, or skip it and list at a fixed price they set themselves. It's a tool, not a requirement.
