Express Listing

Let sellers list a ticket in seconds and fill in their payout details later — the money is held safely until they do.

If you don't see this feature in your Control Station, your integration may not support it yet. Check with the menta tech team.
Normally a seller has to enter their payout details before they can list a ticket. Express Listing flips the order: they list first, sell, and only then complete their payout details. The money from the sale is held securely until they do.
01

Why it exists#

Asking someone for their bank details before they've even sold anything is a lot of friction at the worst possible moment. Many sellers drop off right there — and a ticket that never gets listed is supply that never reaches the fans looking for it.

Express Listing removes that hurdle. The seller lists in a few seconds, the ticket goes live, and the payout details only become something to deal with if and when the ticket actually sells.

02

How it works#

1
The seller lists their ticket

No payout information required up front.

2
The listing goes live

It's available in the resale market right away.

3
The ticket sells

menta tech holds the funds securely.

4
The seller completes their payout details

They're prompted to add where the money should go.

5
The transfer is executed

Once the details are confirmed, the funds are on their way.

This runs on menta tech's own collections-and-payouts infrastructure — it's independent of whatever payment processor the platform itself uses.

03

When it applies#

Express Listing is on by default for every listing on events located in the USA and the EU, in line with the requirements of menta tech's collections and payouts partners in those regions. Sellers in those markets get the quick-listing flow automatically — there's nothing to switch on.

04

Good to know#

!
The money sits safely held until the seller completes their payout details — it isn't lost, just waiting. Once the payout is executed, it takes 2 to 3 business days to land in their bank account. If a seller isn't sure how to complete their details, the instructions are in the email menta tech sends them — worth checking the spam folder too.
05

Payment states#

A seller can follow their money through these stages, shown in the transaction detail in the Control Station:
