NotifyMe Sellers

When fans are hunting for tickets that aren't listed yet, this quietly taps the people who already hold them.

The short version: most features wait for a seller to act. NotifyMe Sellers does the opposite — it watches for real demand on the buyer side and, when there's a gap, nudges people who already hold tickets to consider listing them. It activates supply instead of waiting for it.
01

What it does#

NotifyMe Sellers spots where there's unmet demand in the resale market and lets the people who already hold those tickets know there's an opportunity to sell.

02

The problem it solves#

Picture a section with plenty of buyers circling and almost nothing listed. That demand is real — but it quietly evaporates if the people sitting on those tickets never hear about it. They'd happily sell; they just don't know anyone's looking. NotifyMe Sellers closes that gap by reaching out before the moment passes.

03

What sets it off#

The trigger isn't one person — it's an aggregated demand signal from the buyer side, which can come from any of:

  • NotifyMe sign-ups. People who asked to be told when tickets become available.
  • Abandoned carts. Purchases that were started but never finished.
  • Virtual queues. Fans waiting in line for a chance to buy.
  • Wishlists. Saved interest in the event or category.
04

Who hears about it#

Ticket holders — people who already bought in the primary market and could become sellers in the resale one. They're the supply that's already out there, just not listed yet.

05

The guardrails#

So the nudges stay useful and never feel like spam, a few conditions all have to line up first:

  • Enough interested buyers. A minimum number waiting in that category (configurable, 5 by default).
  • A genuine gap. Demand actually outstrips the supply on offer.
  • A cooldown. That seller hasn't been nudged recently for the same category (configurable, 2 days by default).
  • A cap. A ceiling on how many notifications go out per category, so no one gets flooded (3,000 by default).
06

How the nudge arrives#

There are two paths, and they aren't mutually exclusive:

  • Through a webhook to the platform. menta signals that demand exists, and the platform decides how to reach its own user — its email, push, in-app — keeping the relationship with the end buyer where it belongs: with the integrator.
  • By direct email from menta. Optionally, depending on the setup, menta emails the potential seller itself, with a clear call to list their ticket.
